Suggestion for the week: Do you really need every bag and piece of tissue paper that they give you when you go shopping? Politely ask the assistant to not wrap your new purchase in tissue paper. Decline a new bag, simply combine your purchases. It's great to carry less bags! Better still, take a cloth bag with you and use that. Click here to see additional suggestions

As moms we want to take care of our children in the best way possible. This means that we have to take care of their surroundings also. And so as moms, we need to look at what is happening in the world and respond appropriately. I believe that we need to change our behaviour to ensure a healthy planet for us all, and especially for our children and grandchildren. So this website is designed to encourage you to make some changes in your life (just small ones). If everyone does something to reduce the impact that they have on the environment, we can make a difference. I am encouraging all you moms out there (and dads too) to do something. If the planet continues to disintegrate as it currently seems to be doing, we will have to answer to our children. The question "What did you do to stop this?" will be a question we will all have to confront. How will you answer?.

Monthly Suggestion We must let our politicians know how important the issue of climate change is, so that laws can be passed that will make a difference in the world. Please write to your local politicians to let them know that the environment is important, and that policies need to be set appropriately. For those in the USA, follow this link to find the contact information for John McCain and Barack Obama. To make things as easy as possible, I have also provided a letter template. You can use this template to let them know that their environmental policies will affect your vote.
